"Oak Alley", a 36" X 48" oil on canvas, is the result of a pilgrimage to the plantation of that name just outside New Orleans.  The visit was deliberately timed for sunset.  The oak trees, which are older than the house, are a constant presence-- while they provide shade and relief, they also emanate a subtle menace.  The house is indeed a haven.  Appraised value: $4,400+   Please inquire about Print availability.
